Fair for them. Easy on you.
From little fawn to full horns
Seventy-two springbok avatars in three age looks, so every kid finds one that feels like them, at four or at fourteen.
Chores at a glance
Every chore has a big, bright picture, so even kids who can't read yet know what's next. Use the library or add your own: every day, chosen days, monthly or one-off.
Every chore gets your OK
Kids mark chores as done. You approve them one by one or all at once, or send one back with a note.
Bigger jobs, bigger share
Set each child's pocket money and give each chore a weight. They earn their share of the work they actually did.
Bonuses and demerits
Extra Rand for going the extra mile, or money off when the mess stays put. Both show up straight away.
School goals
Set a target mark per subject and attach a reward. Enter the results and close the term, and every goal they hit adds its reward to what you owe.
Nothing to download
Khula runs in the browser on phones, tablets and laptops. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app.

Good questions, straight answers.
How old should my kids be?
Khula works well from about 4 to 16. Little ones need a hand at first; from around 6 most kids sign in and do their chores on their own.
How do the kids sign in?
No phone or email address needed. The family has one account: each child picks their springbok in the family room on any shared device and, if you like, enters their own PIN.
Is the money real?
Yes, but it never passes through Khula. Khula records chores, pocket money, bonuses and goals; you pay out in cash or by EFT, mark it as paid, and Khula keeps track of what is still owed. Pay part and the rest can go into savings, which you keep for them until they spend it.
How does the pocket money work?
You set an amount per child per week, fortnight or month, and give each chore a weight. At the end of the cycle the child earns the share of chores you approved. Bonuses and demerits apply immediately.
